VINCENTIAN, MIKAL QUAMMIE has been crowned the 2022 British Army Under-25 Squash champion.

Quammie beat Oliver Colema in the final, trumping 3-1( 10/12, 11/8, 11/8, 11/5), to win the coveted trophy.

En route to the final, Quammie saw off Oscar Bantin in the semi-final, defeating him in straight sets, 11/8, 11/4, 11/3.

Before disposing of Bantin, Quammie ousted Ben Sugden 11/6, 12/10 in the quarter finals. Quammie was among 10 players who contested the championships.

Before leaving SVG, he had represented the country of his birth at the OECS level and Senior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) level and was part of the representative OECS teams at the Junior CASA championships.
