The Vincentian pair of Akeil De Roche and Michel Creese were the two dominant players in last weekend’s LQ Classic Open Tournament in Grenada.

After winning their respective groups, the two sailed through the semi-finals to set up an all Vincentian finals.

In the last four, DeRoche beat Razel Fredericks of Grenada in straight sets 11/6,11/7,11/9; while Creese saw off Shermal Willliams, also of Grenada 9/11,13/11, 8/11,11/9,11/4 in a five setter.

 But it was De Roche who was the last man standing, as he defeated Creese three sets to one 11/7,7/11,11/6,11/2. The Vincentian team was accompanied by coach/ manager – Sean Stanley.
