St Hill and Webb take TSSS road relay honours

St Hill House (Green), won the male division and Webb House (Yellow), copped the 2022 Thomas Saunders Secondary School’s annual road relay staged on Thursday January 13.

The six -leg relay saw St Hill’s athletes completing the course in 15:47.13. ahead of second place- Jones ( Blue), whose team timed 16:33.13.

Docking in third was Saunders (Red) in 17:4.48 and bringing up the rear was 2020 winners- Webb (Yellow), in 19:48.34.

However, Webb House was able to retain their title in the female segment, clocking 19:57.38.

Second was St Hill- 20:39.57, with Jones- third in 23:43.75; and fourth was Saunders- 25:42.77.

The relay, which started at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown, took runners along the Richmond Hill road on to Sion Hill, turning at the intersection en route to Cane Garden. Thereafter, they proceeded down Long Wall, then right onto Sharpe Street, making another right at the old Ju- C building, before finishing at the school’s yard, in front of cheering fellow students.
