Windward Islands Volcanoes institute ACE programme

Senior players who are part of the Windward Islands Volcanoes franchise have begun instructional programme Advancing Cricketers through Education (ACE).

The programme, which started earlier this month in Grenada, comprises a series of courses and seminars that are geared towards equipping players with knowledge and the necessary off-the-field skills, inclusive of that mental tenacity to be maximized in preparation for their professional career.

The facilitators of ACE will be drawn from a diverse group of experts, who will deliver the content of the programme.

The programme’s sessions will be predominantly face-to-face engagements.

Set to last for two months, at the completion of the programme, each player who participates fully will be the recipient of a certificate.

Among some of the categories covered under ACE are cricket, physical fitness, life skills, and mental skills.

In addition, the history of West Indies cricket, cricket analytics, attitude and motivation, concentration and managing emotions, communication, and money management, are areas in which the cricketers will get tutelage.

The Windward Islands Volcanoes franchise is currently based in Grenada.
