Mc Coy impresses in Abu Dhabi T/ 10 outing

VINCENTIAN OBED MC COY ended with 10 wickets in the Abu Dhabi T/10 League which ended last Saturday.

The left-handed Mc Coy, playing for Team Abu Dhabi, was fourth in the standings.

A total of 139 runs was scored off his bowling, thus, he finished with 13.9 per wicket. Mc Coy’s economy rate was 8.17. His 2 for 9 versus Pune Devils earned him the man of the match award.

Topping the wickets column was Mc Coy’s team mate Jamie Overton, with 12 scalps.

Northern Warriors’ pair of Fabian Allen and Junaid Siddique were second and third respectively, with each bagging 11 wickets.

Qalanders’ Sohail Akhtar scored the most runs (248). Nicholas Pooran of Northern

Warriors had the highest individual score (89) and hit the most sixes (26).Fabian Allen had the best bowling figures( 4 for 13).

Northern Warriors champed the title over Delhi Bulls, with Team Abu Dhabi third and Qalanders, fourth. Mc Coy, 24, will now turn his skills to a longer format of the game, when he joins the Windward Islands Volcanoes in the CG Insurance super-50, which got started in Antigua last Sunday.
