SVG tops international FIFA match officials in the Windwards

ST VINCENT AND THE Grenadines possesses the most FIFA International match officials among the four Windward Islands grouping.

When the 2021 list was released recently, three Vincentians were named. Referee Moeth Gaymes, assistant referees Denroy Barker and Kenran Daniel were retained.

The three outlast Dominica and Grenada, which both have two. On the list for Dominica are Charvis Delsol (referee) and Clide Cadette (assistant referee), while Reon Radix and Clenton Daniel are Grenada’s referee and assistant referee, respectively.

St Lucia does not have a representative on the FIFA referees international list.

Gaymes and Barker have been on the international list since 2014, while Daniel made it one year later, making them the longest serving among the current crop of officials in the Windward Island.

Meanwhile, neither of the four Windward Islands has a FIFA approved female referee, Futsal referee, Beach Soccer referee or Video match official.
