Female cricket heavyweights win in T/20 openers

THE TWO TOP female cricket teams here in St Vincent and the Grenadines, both chalked up wins last Saturday, as T/20 cricket action got going in the SVG Cricket Association Inc. competition.

JG Tigress made light work of CJ MSDA Julius Anthony Northern Girls by ten wickets, at the Buccament Playing Field.

Northern Girls were uprooted for 43 in 16.2 overs . Isha Williams snared 3/ 8, while Stacy-Ann Adams and Samantha Cain, both had figures of 2/4 and Glendeen Turtintook 2/12.

In reply, JG Tigress and Sons took seven overs to rush to 44/0 , thus won by 10 wickets.

But United Survivors did not have to break a sweat at the Stubbs Playing Field, because Radcliffe Girls did not show up.
