FLOW Radcliffe stumbles in premier division race
Leaders, FLOW Radcliffe, hit a snag last weekend at the Park Hill Playing Field, losing on first innings to their bethren FLOW Rivals, thus narrowing the race in the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division of the national cricket programme.
Rivals posted 296 all out. Lindon James scored 96 and Hyron Shallow, 72. Rasheed Fredricks grabbed 4 for 55 and Asif Hooper, 4 for 102.
In response, Radcliffe were dismissed for 117, as Hyron Shallow bagged 6 for 24 and Dyke Cato had 2 for 12.
But at the Sion Hill Playing Field, Police Two ruffled Victors One by an innings and 130 runs.
Darius Martin took 3 for 2, Romario Bibby, 3 for 21 and Kimali Williams, 2 for 36, and combined to dismiss Victors One for 63.
Rickford Walker then blasted 16 fours and 9 sixes in his 170, to lead Police Two’s reply of 317 for 6 declared. Cody Da Breo collected 2 for 66.
Batting a second time, and in deficit of 254, Victors One fared slightly better, making 124.
Darius Martin scalped 3 for 21 and Sylvan Spencer, 2 for 6, which bowled Police Two to their massive win.
NLA First Division
Victors Two made amends for Victors One, by overcoming CJ Jules Anthony MSDA Northern Stars at the Buccament Bay Playing Field, as the NLA First Division continued on Sunday.
Victors Two posted 161 all out in 47.4 overs. Kishore Shallow made 34.
Dawson Cottle was Northern Stars most successful bowler, taking 3 for 16.
In reply, Northern Stars scored 152 all out in 24 overs. Akeil Mason scored 41 and Maxwell Edwards, 31.
Kishore Shallow, who grabbed 4 for 26 and Zemron Providence, 3 for 34, got the bulk of the wickets, as Victors Two won by nine runs.
At Stubbs, Coreas Distribution Belfongo beat Pollard Investments North Windward Combine by two wickets.
North Windward Combine scored 127 in 20.1 overs, with Orwin Williams scoring 33.
Rajiv Roberts took 5 for 41 and Andre Hunte, 3 for 26, bowling for Belfongo.
It then took Belfongo 30.4 overs to score 132 for 8. Colbert Simon topscored with 28 not out. Orwin Williams picked off 3 for 16 for North Windward Combine.
And, at Arnos Vale Two, Smashers came away with a four-wickets win over Strike Eagles.
The improved Strike Eagles scored 201 all out from 33.1 overs. Kevin Peters struck 83 and Tyson Richards, 41 not out.
Bowling for Smashers, Darren Russell took 4 for 66.
Smasher replied with 207 for 6 in 22.3 overs, with Rawdon Bentick making 59 and Kirton Lavia, 47.
