Salvan Browne joins premier division cricket century parade

POLICE TWO’S Salvan Browne hit the third century of the 2020 National Lotteries Authority premier division of the national cricket programme, when he stroked 108 not out versus Victors One at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, last weekend.

OTHNEIL LEWIS took 5/ 53 for FLOW Radcliffe

Browne’s ton led his team to 255 for 8 declared. Solomon Bascombe had 3 for 63 and Keron Cottoy, 3 for 82.

Police Two was responding to Victors One’s 181. Keron Cottoy hit a topscore of 38 and Urnel Thomas contributed 30.

Kevin Abraham took 4 for 49 and Dillon Douglas had 3 for 10, bowling for Police Two.

Batting a second time, Victors One was shot out for 83. Cottoy scored 32.

Leading Police Two’s bowling was Darius Martin, who bagged 5 for 30.

Police Two reached 10 without loss, to win by ten wickets.

At the Sion Hill Playing Field, FLOW Radcliffe earned first innings over FLOW Rivals in a drawn match.

Othneil Lewis bagged 5 for 53 and Asif Hooper, 4 for 50, as Flow Rivals were dismissed for 106 in 23.4 overs. Javed Williams topscored with 29.

Tijorn Pope scored 71, Gidron Pope, 57 and Shamon Hooper, 51, which saw Flow Radcliffe to 251 for 5 when the match was called off. Hyron Shallow, bowling for Rivals, picked off 2 for 66.

NLA First Division In the National Lotteries First Division, Smashers, Strike Eagles and Coreas Distribution Belfongo were victorious.

Facing Police One at Buccament, Smashers posted 245 all out. Ronald Scott hit 94 (8 fours, 9 sixes).

For Police One, Gosnel Cupid took 4 for 41.

KISHORE SHALLOW

In response, Police One made 189 all out in 37.1 overs. Gosnel Cupid scored 53 not out and Winston Samuel made 32. Javid Harry had 4 for 30 and Kesworth Lewis, 3 for 34, as Smashers won by 56 runs.

At Stubbs, Strike Eagles were in full fight, bringing down French Verandah SVG Community College to earth, by nine runs.

Strike Eagles made 125, crashing from 115 for 2. Keroy Roberts scored 43 and Kevin Peters, 31, while Jerden Jacobs snared 5 for 15 and Azar Williams, 5 for 31.

But the college students also imploded, to be dismissed for 166, after being 92 for 3.

Derron Matthews stroked 42 for the Community College. Keroy Roberts and Chris Humphrey took 4 for 10 and 4 for 38, respectively, as Strike Eagles registered a rare win.

And, at Arnos Vale Two, Belfongo defeated Victors Two by 81 runs.

Andre Hunte powered Belfongo to 233 all out in 31.4 overs, as he made 68 not out. Vincent Cupid chipped in with 38.

Kishore Shallow scalped 5 for 83, for Victors Two, who then made 152 all out.

Marcus Mc Coy was Victors Two’s topscorer with 35, while Andre Hunte showed his ability with the ball, taking 5 for 40 for Belfongo.
