Vincy Heat’s victory over Suriname is an inspiration to the nation – NDP

The opposition New Democratic Party joins with the entire Nation in congratulating Vincy Heat on securing the top spot, and heading their zone in the CONCACAF Nations League. The NDP said in release “We are now one step closer to the title. The 1-0 victory over Suriname speaks to the abundance of raw talent that exist in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Our team’s performance reminds us that it’s not the size of the country, but the quality of performance that matters.”

Commenting on the victory, president of the NDP Dr Godwin Friday said, ‘It was such a proud moment for me, I see this victory as truly an inspiration to our Nation. I am a lover of football, and I went to watch the match last Friday. As I looked on, I knew that we had some very talented young men on the field representing us, and I know that they can go far. Our boys made us proud. I extend my congratulations to Vincy Heat, and the technical team on securing this victory.”

Dr. Friday further added, “I also wish to reaffirm my commitment and the commitment of my party to the development of sports and sporting infrastructure in our country. Soccer needs a home and we will make this a reality”
