Sion Hill seals division four netball league title again

Less than 24 hours of the Sion Hill masters’ football team retaining the SVG Over -35s title last Thursday night at the Victoria Park, the Sion Hill junior netball team too, repeated the title of Sonya Lewis Division four champions of the FLOW National Club Tournament.

The youthful netballers emulated the unbeaten feat they achieved in last year’s tournamen on Friday afternoon at the Kingstown Netball Centre, by trouncing the Bethel High School.

Sion Hill junior netball team beat their opponents 40-8, to register their fourth win.

Starting their defence of the title, Sion Hill lasses were pushed by Maple Five in their first match, but prevailed 18-16.

But the junior netballers found their radar in their second outing, by dismissing Bishop’s College Kingstown, 41-4 and had a 34-6 triumph over JDS Success Radio Netters in their third.

With the league title already bagged, the Sion Hill junior netball team sets sight on the double, as the knock-out competition remains up for grabs.

In 2018, the Sion Hill junior netball team won both the league and knock-out titles.
