Mustique stay unbeaten in SVG masters cricket

MUSTIQUE COMPANY Masters eeked out a onerun win over RSVG Police last Saturday at the Mustique Playing Field, to make it three from three in the SVG Masters 20/20 cricket competition.

Mustique Company Masters batted first and made 115 for 7 from their 20 overs. Caswell Dorsette scored 32 and Chadwick Carrington, 27.

Bowling for Police, Carlos Sampson took 2 for 14 and Elgin Richards, 2 for 25.

In reply, Police made 114 for 6 from their 20 overs, with Neil Baptiste scoring 49. At Buccament, Floyd Bullock’s Marriaqua defeated Kirk DaSilva’s La Croix by 8 runs.

Marriaqua scored 131 all out off 18.1 overs. Grantlet “Ipa” Constance scored 31, while bowling bowling for La Croix, Amos Richards took 4 for 17.

Constance then grabbed 4 for 12, as La Croix could only reach 123 for 7 from their maximum 20 overs. Sobers Thomas topscored with 33.

Sunday’s matches resulted in triumphs for A. R & D Trucking Ptani, Davis Construction Bequia, Joseph DaSilva Sr Memorial Funeral

Home North Leeward and Computec Belfongo.

Ptani defeated North Windward by 7 wickets at Park Hill.

North Windward scored 120 all out off 19.5 overs. Alrick Lavia made 24 and Michael Jack, 21.

Adolphous Campbell took 3 for 13, Dudley David, 2 for 12, Elvis Woods, 2 for 15, and Cornelius Springer, 2 for 16.

Ptani responded with 121 for 3 in 16.4 overs, with Zenus James scoring 52 not out and Jerome Samuel, 34.

Hasley Roberts was North Windward’s most successful bowler, taking 2 for 31 At Buccament, Bequia outplayed Stanley Browne’s Stubbs, to win by 50 runs.

Bequia 118 for 8 off 17 overs, as the match was reduced because of a late start.

Kenrick Gonsalves hit 19 and Daniel Willaims, 18.

Dave Stapleton took 5 for 29 and Theo Wallace, 2 for 21, bowling for Stubbs, who folded for 68 off 14.2 overs Dawnley Joseph led with 22, while Daniel Williams grabbed 3 for 7.

Meanwhile North Leeward extended Rudy’s Electrical Barrouallie’s misery beating them by 7 wickets.

Barrouallie made 107 all out from 19.3 overs. Bradley Brooker scored 20 and Garfield Charles, 18.

Donovan Mason 3 for 15 and Ancil Hooper 2 for 8, bowling for North Leeward.

North Leeward replied with 110 for 3 off 13.4 overs. Nelson Williams made 44 not out.

And at Buccament, Belfongo got past Sion Hill by 2 runs.

Belfongo made 116 all out from 20 overs. Bertram Stapleton scored 34 and Elvis Browne, 25.

Bowling for Sion Hill, Colin Shoy took 3 for 13, Brian Davis, 2 for 14, and Arrington Burgin, 2 for 24.

Sion Hill replied with 114 for 9 off 20 overs. Bill Edwards hit 45 and Michael Duncan, 21. Elvis Browne picked off 2 for 19.
