Five more teams register wins in TBPO Softball cricket competition

Challengers, Gomea Bombers, Clinchers, Sion Hill Tallawahs and CGM Gallagher Novice, all registered wins in last weekend’s matches of the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organization’s competition at the Dauphine Playing Field.

 On Saturday, Challengers beat CDC/Lotto by 104 runs.

In a match reduced to 12 overs because of a late start, Challengers posted 164 for 5 in 12 overs. Javon Seales made 43, Enrico Patterson, 32, and Britnol Scott, 25.

 Bowling for CDC/ Lotto, Ashley Frederick took 2 for 21. In reply, CDC/Lotto reached 60 for 6 in 12 overs. Dorian Dallaway and Alex Jessop, both had 2 for 6.

 In Saturday’s second match, Gomea Bombers outplayed Fairbaine United Spartans by 40 runs in an 18-over affair.

 Gomea Bombers scored 138 all out in 15 overs, with Bradley Richards hitting 35, Rafique Sayers, 34, and Omar Woods, 22.

 Joel Browne took 3 for 16, Mikel Brereton, 2 for 13, Maurice Cordice, 2 for 19, and Carlos Davis, 2 for 32, bowling for Fairbaine United Spartans.

 In response, Fairbaine United Spartans scored 98 for 7 in 18 overs. Kishroy Glasgow scored 20.

 Glenroy John had 2 for 11 and Raymond Sayers, 2 for 22, bowling for Gomea Bombers.

 On Sunday, Clinchers outlasted Sunset by 64 runs in a match reduced to 15 overs.

Clinchers made 159 all out in 15 overs, Desron Spring scoring 74, Okeiph Andrews, 26, and Oheyon Toby, 21.

 Anthoniel Palmer took 3 for 18, bowling for Sunset.

Sunset made 95 for 5 from their 15 overs, with Raje Questelles scoreing 45 not out.

Bowling for Clinchers, Okeiph Andrews took 2 for 9.

 In game two, Tallawahs had a 55-run win over CMT Outa Trouble in another 18-overs-per-side affair. for 9 from their 18 overs.

Bowling for Outa Trouble, Darien Barnum took 2 for 9, Shamny Primus, 2 for 14, and Lenroy Danzel, 2 for 29.

Outa Trouble made 63 all out in 15.4 overs. Marlon Baptiste took 3 for 9.

 And, Novice edged out Bank of SVG All Stars by 8 runs.

Novice made 148 for 5 in 20 overs. Renrick Williams scored 56, Elton Williams, 23, and Norlan Williams, 22.

Dwayne Williams took 2 for 16 and Kelly Murray, 2 for 28, bowling for All Stars.

 All Stars replied with 140 for 7 in 20 overs. Asquith Mapp made 42 and Glenroy Dasent, 22.

Norlan Williams took 2 for 19, Casmond Walters, 2 for 24, and Dante Williams, 2 for 33, bowling for Novice.
