Stand out footballers, officials, get SVGFF’s 2017  awards

The female and male youth footballers of the year; the men’s and women’s player of the year, along with the coach of the year and the manager of the year, have been disclosed.

These were revealed when the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation hosted its 2017 awards ceremony last week Wednesday, at the conference room of its headquarters, located on Grenville Street in capital, Kingstown.Getting the nod as female youth footballer was Kitanna Richards, with Joel Quashie securing the male youth footballer of the year accolade.

The award of women’s footballer of the year went to Altica Benn, and the men’s footballer of the year was Chavel Cunningham.Dwight Baptiste was adjudged the coach of the year, and Marvin Fraser, the manager of the year.

The awards ceremony also saw the dishing out of trophies and cash prizes for the 2017 national club championships, the 2017 national community inter-league competition and the 2018 Futsal club tournament.
