Peto Stars shine in North Leeward Cricket Competition

Peto Stars, the 2016 champions of the VINLEC North Leeward T20 Cricket tournament, rebounded last Saturday to see off former champions Circumstance at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.

Peto Stars posted 199 for 9, off 20 overs, with Ronique Laborde scoring 69 and Aubrey Neverson, 34.

In reply, Circumstance made 143 for 6, off 20 overs, as Davian Barnum struck 32 and Devon Patterson, 31.

Peto Stars won by 56 runs.

There were also wins for Ajuba, Robertson Surveying Future Legends and RSVG Police.

On Saturday, Ajuba defeated House of Graphics Summerset by four wickets.

Summerset scored 188 all out, off 19.5 overs. Nelson Williams made 47 and Romano Pierre, 42.

Asif Hooper had figures of 3 for 17, Reginald Jeffery, 2 for 34, and Ivan Clarke, 2 for 35.

In response, Ajuba scored 192 for 6, off 17.2 overs. Asif Hooper made 63, and Michael Joseph, 39, while Dyke Cato took 2 for 40.

On Sunday, Future Legends defeated Rose Bank United by 8 wickets.

Rose Bank United made 100 all out, off 17.2 overs. William Edwards made 29. Zane Edwards took 3 for 5.

Future Legends scored 104 for 2, off 7.4 overs, with Rickford Walker making 58.

And, RSVG Police had a 124-run win over Upsetters.

RSVG Police scored 204 for 8 off 20 overs. Andrew Thomas led with 69, while Kenneth Dember scored 61 not out.

Bowling for Upsetters, Maxwell Edwards snared 3 for 46, and Fitzmore Edwards, 2 for 35.

Upsetters replied with 80 all out off 10.4 overs, with Desroy Hooper scoring 24.

Casnel Morris, with 3 for 10 and Parnel Browne, 3 for 37, did the damage for the law officers.

The tournament continues this weekend with the following matches:

On Saturday, from 10 a.m., RSVG Police meet Big League and from 2 p.m., Peto Stars face Upsetters. 

And, on Sunday, from 10 a.m., Ruddy’s Electrical play House of Graphics Summerset and from 2 p.m. Ruddy’s Electrical meet Robertson Surveying Future Legends.
