Coulls Hill Rangers beat Peto Stars in North Leeward 20/20 Cricket

Defending champions of the VINLEC North Leeward T/20 Cricket tournament Peto Stars stuttered last Sunday at the Petit Bordel Playing Field, beaten by seven wickets by Kishore Shallow Coulls Hill Rangers.

 Peto Stars made 137 for 2 off 13 overs, as the match was reduced because of rain.  Vidal Edwards, 47 not out and Ronique Laborde, 38 not out, were the main contributors.

 Coulls Hill Rangers in reply were 139 for 3 off 11.5 overs.  Peter Morris belted 11 sixes and three fours from 39 balls, to end on 89 not out.

Also on Sunday, Ajuba had a narrow one-run victory over Warriors.

Ajuba reached 179 for 7 off 20 overs.  Asif Hooper led with 67 and Leon Samuel, 54.

 Bowling for Warriors, Rellan Mc Kie took 2 for 19, Cklan Mc Kie, 2 for 28 and Mayor Edwards, 2 for 34.

 Warriors made 178 for 7 off 20 overs; Elron Lewis scored 53, Miles Bascombe, 25 and Rellan Mc Kie, 24 not out. Asif Hooper picked off 3 for 31.

 In action on Saturday, House of Graphics Summerset and Big League were victors.

Summerset won by 197 runs over Rose Bank United.

 Summerset posted 237 for 2 off 15 overs in a match reduced because of rain.

 Ronald Scott carried his bat through the innings, scoring 123 not out and Rawdon Bentick, 95. The pair shared in a second-wicket partnership of 174.

 Rose Bank United were dismissed for 40 off 7.2 overs. Kevin Small had 2 for 3, Jadiel Chance, 2 for 11 and Ken Lewis, 2 for 16.

And, Big League defeated Circumstance of Fitz-Hughes by three runs.

 Big League scored 157 all out off 14.3 overs, as again rain reduced the match to 15 overs per side. Kuthbert Springer made 40 and Ronel Jack, 32.

 Female player Shenezia Daniel snared 4 for 27 and Alisco Samuel took 3 for 26.

 Former champions Circumstance stopped short at 154 for 6 off 15 overs.

Saville Murray struck 62, Jerron Wyllie, 32 and Jordan Samuel, 31.

 Another four matches are set for this weekend. On Saturday from 10 a.m., Ajuba meets Rose Bank United and from 2 p.m., Carlos James Troumaca James Starlight engage Big League.

 On Sunday from 10 a.m., RSVG Police face Circumstance and Ruddy’s Electrical meet Summerset from 2 p.m.
