On Saturday, Circumstance defeated Rose Bank United by 14 runs on a faster net run rate.
Circumstance scored 148 all out off 19.4 overs, with Kesroy Debique stroking 47 and Hank Hall and Raymond Matthews, 24 each.
Henry Harry snared 3 for 18, Nigel Small 2 for 22 and Simon Jack 2 for 24, bowling for Rose Bank United, who were 46 for 4 off 8 overs, when rain ended play.
Rose Bank United needed to be 60 off 8 overs. Hank Hall had taken 3 for 7.
Joining Circumstance in winnersâ row were Big League and Upsetters. Big League won over Ajuba by way of forfeiture after the first innings. The match was reduced to 10 overs per innings, because of a late start occasioned by rain. After nine overs in the first innings, another downpour brought Ajubaâs innings to a close at 45 for 4.
Reports say that the umpires called the resumption of play after the mopping up exercises had been completed; however, Ajuba failed to adhere to the request of the umpires, handing Big League easy points.
And, Upsetters defeated North Stars by 21 runs. Upsetters scored 232 for 5 off their 20 overs. Cklon Mc Kie struck 63 and McLean Browne, 46, as the pair had an opening partnership of 86. Kennard Forbes had 2 for 37, bowling for North Stars.
In reply, North Stars were restricted to 211 for 7 off 20 overs; Rellan McKie â 64, Kennard Forbes â 30 and Elron Lewis â 29, were the main contributors.
Maxwell Edwards grabbed 3 for 40, to be Upsettersâ lead bowler.
Another set of matches would be played this weekend. On Saturday, from 10 a.m., North Stars play Robertson Surveying Future Legends and from 1:30 p.m., Summerset face Ajuba.
From 10 a.m. Sunday, Sharps United play Coulls Hill Rangers; then from 1:30 p.m., it will be Peto Stars versus Carlos James Troumaca Starlight.(RT)
