Buccament Government stays in charge of Primary Schools’ Netball
The Buccament Government School, located in Du Bois, locked down the Primary Schoolsâ Netball Festival title, making it three in a row.
Their hat-trick of titles was achieved last Friday afternoon at the Kingstown Netball Centre, outpointing the Fancy Government, 16-11.{{more}}
Before getting to the final, Buccament Government had defeated the Owia Government, 15-10, while Fancy Government had an 18-5 triumph over Layou Government. Owia Government then got the better of Layou Government, 9-7, to win the third spot.
The final phase of the competition deviated from what obtained in previous years, when it was played on grass at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.
The rest of the schoolsâ netball programme will see the semi-finals of both the junior and senior divisions of secondary schools contested at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex on December 8.
Friday, December 11, is set aside for the third place play-offs from 10:30 a.m. and the finals from 1 p.m., all at the Kingstown Netball Centre.(RT)
