Greiggs Softball Cricket Competition reaches semi-finals

The Hairoun Brewery, Sea Operations SVG Ltd, Courtesy Sports, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/20 Softball Cricket Competition has reached its last four.

In the mix are defending champions Owia Young Strikers, Sion Hill Tallawahs, Top Shottaz Squady and Bank of SVG All Starz, following the last round of matches.{{more}}

Owia Young Strikers beat Combine Sixerz by six wickets. Combine Sixerz batted first and made 124 for 8 wickets in their 17 overs; Rodney Lawrence top scored with 41 and Deron Greaves made 38. Rolando Wright took 2 for 19.

In return, Owia Young Strikers scored 125 for 4 in 15.4 overs, led by Osnet Cato’s 67 not out.

Deroy Straugh took 2 for 20.

Top Shottaz Squady outdid Country Meets Town Outa Trouble Family on a faster scoring rate.

Batting first, Top Shottaz Squady were 113 for 8 in their 17 overs; Ian Bushay made 30 not out.

Bowling for Outa Trouble, Shemroy Primus picked off 3 for 15 and Rawdon Bentick – 3 for 34.

But Outa Trouble could only make 63 for 7 in 15.5 overs, as Kentish Phillips pouched 3 for 13.

Also, Sion Hill Tallawahs got past Street Fighters by two wickets.

Street Fighters scored 110 for 7 in their 20 overs. Ricardo Thomas got 30. Shamic Roberts had 2 for 23.

In reply, Sion Hill Tallawahs made 113 runs for 8 wickets in 16.1 overs, with Erwin Williams getting 40. Kenson Danzell took 4 for 14.

And Bank of SVG All Stars won from Nar Fren Dem by one wicket.

Scores: Nar Fren Dem- 100 for 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Damron Prince had 31.

Bank of SVG All Starz racked up 106 for 9 in 19.4 overs; Asquith Mapp got 30. Keno Matthews had 3 for 11.(RT)
