Another full weekend in TBPO Softball Cricket Competition
Gomea Bombers, CGM Novice, Winter Boys, Nice Radio Clinchers and Dr Thomas Injectors all got a tick in the winnerâs column when the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organizationâs Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Competition continued last weekend at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}
Gomea Bombers trumped over Shot Callers by 89 runs. Gomea Bombers made 142 for 6 in 15 overs, with Oâvando OâBrien hitting 53. Bowling for Shot Callers, Deshawn Jack took 3 for 23.
In reply, Shot Callers reached 53 for 6 in 15 overs. Asborne Franklyn took 2 for 9, bowling for Gomea Bombers.
Also Novice claimed a 28-run win over Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem.
Novice was routed for 61 in 10.1 overs, as Rahken Lavia took 4 for 14, Zenron Harry 2 for 1 and Kazim Haywood, 2 for 11.
But Nar Fren Demâs response was lame and could only make 33 for 8 in 12 overs.
Their batting was stifled by Renrick Williams â 2 for 8 and Newborn Joseph â 2 for 10.
In Sundayâs first match, Winter Boys won by 41 runs from New Track Guys.
Winter Boys scored 97 all out in 14.4 overs. Bowling for New Track, Carlton Baptiste took 4 for 10, Akeyso Davis â 2 for 16 and Benjamin Forbes â 2 for 19.
New Track Guys were dismissed for 56 in 10.4 overs.
Winter Boysâ bowling saw Crisston Williams grabbing 4 for 15 and Emmanuel Baptiste â 2 for 10.
Then Clinchers recorded a 33-run win over Carriere Blazers. Clinchers posted 177 all out in 19.5 overs, led by Rawle Stapleton and Desron Spring, who both hit 33 and Kirton Lavia â 26.
Bowling for Blazers, Xavier Edwards snared 4 for 11 and Romano Browne 2 for 17. In reply, Carriere Blazers made 66 all out in 15.5 overs. Frankie Farrell made 28.
Bowling for Clinchers, Olando Lavia picked up 3 for 2, Kenton Lavia â 2 for 6 and Rawle Stapleton â 2 for 12.
And Dr Thomas Injectors blasted Computec Older Boys by seven wickets.
Older Boys scored 94 for 8 in 20 overs; Curtis King made 25.
Tex Franklyn took 2 for 12, bowling for Injectors, who responded with 96 for 3 in 9.5 overs; Wendell Corridon top scored with 25.
Rohan King got 2 for 27, in his teamâs loss.(RT)
