Vincentians dominate OECS junior squash training squad

For yet another year, St Vincent and the Grenadines has earned the most selectees in the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) training squad, ahead of the Caribbean Area Squash Association tournament, set for Barbados in July.{{more}}

St Vincent and the Grenadines accounts for 12 of the 15 prospects who are hoping to make the final cut.

The Vincentians selected are Giovanna Miller-Alexander in the Girls Under-13 and Under-19, Jada Ross – Girls Under-15, along with Thandi Myers – Girls Under-17.

Completing the females selectees from St Vincent and the Grenadines are Demi Ollivierre and Deirai Myers, who are contesting in the Girls Under-19.

The Vincentian male selectees are Jlan Mc Master – Under-13; Kai Bentick – Under-15, Mikal Quashie and Geronimo Ross – Under-17, as well as Jason Doyle and Omari Wilson – Under-19.

Three players from the British Virgin Islands complete the squad.

Luca Reich – Girls Under-13; Kerstin Gordon – Girls Under-17 and Leo Forte – Boys Under-17 are also in the mix.

The wider regional tournament is set for July 17-26.

Vincentian James Bentick and Joe Faragher-Kneipp of the BVI are the coaches who will oversee the preparation of the selectees.(RT)
