Subway Easter Tennis Tournament ends this Saturday

Imani King will be looking to add more jewels to his crown when the Subway Junior Tennis Tournament closes off this Saturday at the National Tennis Centre at Villa.{{more}}

Having already taken the Male Open Doubles in partnership with Taj Ballantyne, King will

have Arnel Horne as his opponent in the Singles final.

King, in the semi-finals, walked over Richard Hoyte, 6-0, 6-0, and Horne beat Ronnie Richardson, 6-2, 7-6.

Last Saturday, King and Ballantyne ousted Akeem Guy and Kyle Hall, 6-3, 7-5, en route to their Doubles win.

In the semi-finals, King and Ballantyne stopped the pair of Arnel Horne and Richard Hoyte, 6-2, 6-4, while Guy and Hall had a 6-4, 7-5 triumph over Garfield Mayers and Akeizo Quammie.

Also decided last Saturday was the Male Under-16 Singles, which saw Richard Hoyte trumping 6-2, 6-4 over Luke Browne. Before getting to the championship match, Hoyte saw off Horne 6-3, 6-3, while Browne had registered a 6-4 win in the first set, before Miguel Francis retired in the second.

Also to be decided this Saturday is the Male Over-18 Singles final, with Akeem Guy and Kyle Hall set to battle it out.

The closing ceremony and presentation of awards will follow the two finals.(RT)
