Ravers and Out Ah Trouble in Biabou Softball semis

Former winner — Ravers and Country Meets Town Out Ah Trouble are through to the semifinals of the Biabou Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Competition.{{more}}

The two advanced to the last four with wins last Sunday at the Biabou Playing Field.

Ravers had a 52 run win over Shot Gun Eleven.

Batting first, Ravers made 127 for 6 in 20 overs; Othniel Lewis 35 and Imran Smith 19.

Stevie Bristol 2 for 22 and David Rodriquez 2 for 35, bowling for Shot Gun Eleven, who replied with 75 in 14.5 overs.

Topping Shot Gun Eleven’s batting was Sandy James who scored 23.

Ranique Warren picked up 2 for 1, Othniel Lewis 2 for 16 and Zimron Thomas 2 for 25, as Ravers booked a place in the semifinals.

Also, Out-ah-Trouble had a 64-run win over Clinchers.

Taking first knock, Out-ah-Trouble posted 131 for 9 in 18 overs, led by Sunil Ambris’ 59.

Okeiph Andrews took 2 for 24 and Peter Richards 2 for 29.

Clinchers replied with 67 in 16 overs; Kerlon John-22.

Julian Danzel snapped up 2 for 1 and Richie Richards 2 for 15.

Preceding the two quarter finals on Sunday, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem had a 55-run win over Smashers.

Batting first, Nar Fren Dem – 137 for 7 in 18 overs; Mark Durrant smashed 51, Kenford Collins 28 and Demron Prince 26.

Kutberth Springer 2 for 15, Ozico William 2 for 19 and Kenneth Lewis 2 for 30, bowling for Smashers.

In reply, Smashers were dismissed for 82 in 15.2 overs. Courtney Joyette 14.

Bowling for Nar Fren Dem, Shemic Roberts took 2 for 10, Ordan Prince 2 for 12 and Kenford Collins 2 for 19.

In Saturday’s lone fixture, Smashers of Lauders had a six wicket win over Street Fighters.

Street Fighters reached 99 all out in 14.4 overs. Jamal Ryan struck 44 and Anton Butler 22. Bowling for Street Fighters, Travis Peters bagged 5 for 20.

Smashers of Lauders replied with 103 for 4 in 14 overs. Deland Woodley slammed 51 and Zyron Harry 19 not out.

Ricardo Thomas took 2 for 2, bowling for Street Fighters.

The remaining quarter final matches pit Gairy’s Construction Simple Boys against Simon Warriors from 1 pm this Saturday, to be followed by Nar Fren Dem versus Smashers of Lauders.

On Sunday, the semifinals are set, with Ravers versus the winner of the Simple Boys/ Simon Warriors match from 12:30 pm, then Out Ah Trouble faces the winner of the clash between Nar Fren Dem and Smashers of Lauders.
