Standout players emerge from Firms Football Tournament

Several players shone through brightly in the Digicel/Aeropost/Hairoun Beer/Breakaway Masters Firms Invitational Football Tournament.{{more}}

Taking the Most Outstanding Player award in the Agricultural Input Warehouse Under-15 competition was ADARE’s Gibson Francis, with his teammate Terique Sampson – the Best Goalkeeper on show.

The Top Goal Scorer in the Under-15 Division was Central Shooters’ Trey Prince.

Meanwhile, the youngest player to appear in the competition was eight-year-old Iziar Charles.

The organizers also chose to reward Shadell Cyrus, the lone female official in the tournament. Cyrus collected the emerging official trophy.

Central Shooters took the Knockout competition and ADARE collected both the Round Robin and Play-off titles.

Amongst the seniors, the Most Outstanding Goalkeeper went to Gibson’s Building Supplies’ Jamal Duncan.

Copping the top goal scoring award was Julian Trimmingham of Bonadies and the Female Player of the Tournament – Anesta Richards, who represented CWSA.

Rohan Thomas Jr of league winners, the Ministry of Education, was the Most Outstanding Senior Player.

Dethroned champions ECGC won group one; the Ministry of Transport and Works took group two and the Ministry of Education – group three.

Toni’s Stores Combined captured the Senior Knockout competition.

The teams winning prize monies were once again mandated to a give a portion to a charity of their choice.

This was the fourth year of the tournament, hosted by the Breakaway Masters. (RT)
