Central Shooters and Toni’s Stores land KO punches in Firms Football

Central Shooters and Toni’s Stores Combined are the Knockout champions of the Digicel/ Aeropost/Breakaway Masters Firms Invitational Football Competition.{{more}}

They secured the titles last Sunday at the Grammar School Playing Field.

It, however, took kicks from the penalty spot for the two to overcome their opponents.

The Carlton Dennie coached team Central Shooters outscored ADARE 4-2 in spot kicks, after both teams had played to a goalless draw in regulation time of the Agriculture Input Warehouse Under-15 Division.

Similarly, Toni’s Stores Combined got the best deals in the kicks over Bonadies. This was necessary, as the two had played to a stalemate in regulation time of the Senior Division final.

The league finals of both divisions would be contested this Sunday.

ADARE will be seeking to end in the competition, when they face System 3 team one in the league final.

And, Ministry of Education schooled the Ministry of Transport and Works 4-1, to book a place in Sunday’s senior final.

They will meet the winner of the other semi-final, between ECGC and CWSA, which was slated for yesterday, Thursday.(RT)
