SVGNA finalizing plans for this year’s Firms Netball Tournament

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association is the process of finalizing plans for the staging of the annual Firms Netball Tournament.{{more}}

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at 5 pm.

This opening will see the usual march past of teams and will hear addresses from Minister of Sports Cecil Mckie, president of the SVGNA Dellarice Duncan and a representative of the sponsor.

Teams are for the first time being asked to prepare a one-minute promotional speech for their companies. This speech will be presented at the opening ceremony. This is being done in an effort to bring more recognition to the various companies that are sponsoring teams.

Potential Steel Orchestra will provide the music for the opening and there will be a presentation from a local dance group.

Meanwhile, teams that have not yet returned registration forms are asked to do so and teams that have not yet collected registration forms are asked to collect forms from games secretary Thelma Foster at the Ministry of Transport and Works.

The deadline for registration for the Firms Tournament is September 24.
