Windward Islands set to defend cricket title

Defending Champions Windward Islands, under Vincentian coach, the former West Indies fast bowler Ian Allen, were drawn to play the opening match of the 2014 regional NAGICO Super 50 tournament, in Trinidad and Tobago yesterday.{{more}}

The Windwards were due to play Jamaica, with whom they are drawn in Group A, along with Guyana and Ireland – this year’s guest team. Group B is made up of the Leeward Islands, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Combined Campuses and Colleges.

There are four Vincentians in the Windwards squad for the two week tournament; Delorn Johnson, Kenroy Peters, Rommel Currency and Alston Bobb.
