Thomas’ heroics and record setting feat pushed his team Street Fighters to 192 for 6 off 20 overs last Sunday, versus Glen United at the Biabou Playing Field.

Playing second fiddle to Thomas was Osnet Billingy who stroked 38.

Glen’s most successful bowler was Kerwyn Browne with 3 for 6.

In response, Glen was dismissed for 134; Maxi Hackshaw made 43; Marcus Hackshaw and Neil Anderson both scored 23.

Curtis Dorsett and Zenol Quashie were the pick of the Street Fighters’ bowling attack, as both took 3 for 19.

Glen was again at the losing end, as they went under to Smashers by 18 runs.

Smashers posted 135 for 9 from their 20 overs. Zeron Humphrey was the top scorer with 27.

Bowling for Glen, Kerwyn Browne had 3 for 16, Ron Adams – 2 for 28 and Maxi Hackshaw – 2 for 54.

Glen was restricted to 117 for 7 from their maximum 20 overs; Jimmy Pereira scored 30 and Marcus Hackshaw and Ron Adams both hit 26.

Smashers’ main wicket takers were Kelvin Richards 4 for 20 and Andrew Bacchus 2 for 24.

There were also wins for Ravers, Combined Sixers and Dr Thomas Injectors.

Ravers redeemed themselves from their previous losses with a seven-wicket trumping over Smashers.

Ronnique Warren, 3 for 10 and Othneil Lewis, 3 for 22, combined to put down Smashers to 46 for 9.

Ricarvo Williams then smashed 28, to see his team to 47 for 3 in just four overs; Curtland Springer took 2 for 13, bowling for Smashers.

Combined Sixers, on the back of good scores from Richie Richards – 62; Courtney Mc Dowald – 36 and Kadier Nedd – 21, saw them to an imposing 189 for 9 from 20 overs.

Ezra Jacobs – 3 for 32, Donaldson Harry – 2 for 26 and Lawrence Ashton – 2 for 34, shared the bulk of the wickets which fell.

In reply, Better Brand Supreme Stars could only make 70 all out in 13 overs.

Javorn Nero was the main scorer with 28, as Courtney Mc Dowald bagged 5 for 16 and Richie Richards 2 for 12.

And, Dr Thomas Injectors powered past Swipe on the Go Patriots by 10 wickets.

Patriots made 94 from 17 overs; Hermus Garrick scored 32.

Their innings was cut short by the bowling of Damien Allen – 2 for 3; Stephen Starker – 2 for 11, Kelvin Lorraine – 2 for 22 and Kezron Ashton – 2 for 32.

Kezron Ashton then smashed 8 sixes in his whirlwind 58 and Ronnique Daniel 25, as Injectors replied with 101 without loss in nine overs.(RT)
