Triumph United take out Saints in National T-20 Competition

Triumph United Cricket Club stopped Guardian General Saints in a major upset in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams T-20 Cricket Competition last Sunday at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.{{more}}

For Triumph United, it was an all round effort of Nigel Small, who hit 28, in his team’s innings of 84 all out in 19.3 overs.

But he was not done, as he then grabbed 4 for 13, including a hat trick, as Saints were sent tumbling for 67 all out in 11. 2 overs. Sunil Ambris top scored with 34.

Also in a triumphant mood were Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO, The News Spartans, Team Rivals, LIME Radcliffe and Victors Two.

At Buccament, ASCO outplayed Ishallz Byam’s Physical Therapy by 61 runs.

ASCO posted 175 for 9 in 20 overs, with Darron Greaves — 68 and Andre Hunte — 27.

Courtney Joyette took 3 for 30, for Ishallz Byam’s Physical Therapy, who were then dismissed for 114 all out in 17.4 overs

Andre Hunte was the pick of the ASCO bowlers with 4 for 13.

At Arnos Vale One, Spartans overcame Smashers by seven wickets.

Batting first, Smashers were dismissed for 83 off 18 overs. Bowling for Spartans Basil Andrews had figures of 3 for 19.

Spartans replied with 84 for 3 off 11 overs. Gideon Pope had 37 not out.

At Park Hill, Team Rivals beat Police Two by 29 runs.

Team Rivals reached 142 for 7 off 18 overs; Harley Skerritt hit 65 and Marvin Small 32.

For the lawmen, Danson Andrews got 2 for 21 and Mc Leon Williams 2 for 9.

In reply, Police 2 made 113 all out in 18 overs; Shacky Green made 24. Olanzo Jackson bagged 4 for 16 and Deighton Butler 4 for 24.

Also at the Park Hill venue, but on Sunday, Lime Radcliffe powered past Police One and won by nine wickets.

Police One were shot out for 45 in 7.4 overs, as Wesrick Strough snared 5 for 25 and Rodney Lawrence 2 for 18.

Radcliffe then rushed 46 for 1 in 4.2 overs; Drumo Toney was 20 not out.

And at Arnos Vale One, also on Sunday, Victors Two won by five wickets over Bequia.

Batting first, Bequia reached 124 for 5 off 20 overs. Shirlon Pompey was the lead batsman with 39.

Wesley Simmons took 2 for 21, bowling for Victors Two, who responded with 126 for 5 in 19.3 overs.

Denson Hoyte struck 46 and Shaquille Browne 33 not out. Braxie Browne was Bequia’s most successful bowler with 2 for 13. (RT)
