RSVG Police on the beat in North Leeward T/20 Cricket

RSVG Police kept tight surveillance recently in the Vinlec North Leeward T/20 Cricket Competition at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.{{more}}

The law officers exhibited much restraint in their submission of Sharps United and Winterset Ball Beaters in back to back action on Saturday.

Batting first against Sharps United, RSVG Police scored 239 for 7 from their 20 overs.

Eventual Player of the Match Salvan Browne slammed 82. Kevin Michael was the pick of the Sharps United bowling attack, taking 4 for 44.

In response, Sharps United was dismissed for 193 in 20 overs; Marvin Cato hit 48 and Maxwell Edwards, 33. Sylvan Spencer took 3 for 43 and Vertil Davis 3 for 23, for RSVG Police.

Next to face defeat from the lawmen were Winterset Ball Beaters, but they did so by one wicket, after some stern resistance.

Winterset Ball Beaters scored 133 all out off 14 overs, with Omar Tucker striking 37. Mc Leon Williams, showing the other side of his game, snapped up 5 for 18.

But RSVG Police had to toil to reach 135 for 9 off 16 overs. Mc Leon Williams was again the front man, as he led with 22.

Bowling for Winterset Ball Beaters, Kesroy De Bique grabbed 3 for 15 and Kenard Edwards, 3 for 38.

For his all-round performance, Williams was adjudged Player of the Match.

And on Sunday, Carlos James Troumaca Starlight defeated Carlos James Troumaca United by four wickets and Peto Stars sidelined Ruddy’s Electrical.

Troumaca United got to 112 for 6 off 15 overs, with Keron Cottoy unbeaten on 27.

Donald Delpesche finished with 3 for 22, bowling for Troumaca Starlight, who then reached 113 for 6 from 14 overs.

Donald Delpesche hit a topscore of 36. Emil Anthony and Javon Samuel both took 2 for 22. Delpesche was named Player of the Match.

And, Peto Stars trumped Ruddy’s Electrical by 89 runs.

Peto Stars amassed 243 for 4 off 20 overs, with Ronique Laborde scoring 82; Shamon Hooper, 55 and Nigel Small, 47.

Ruddy’s Electrical, in reply, scored 154 all out off 17 overs.

Leon Samuel top scored with 42, but it was the bowling of Ronique Laborde who snared 6 for 26, and coupled with his top score of 82, which saw him pouching the Player of the Match award.
