Hyron Shallow deepens dominance of BCL
Hyron Shallow last Saturday slammed 104 not out, his second century in succession, to lead Vincentian team Imperial to an eight-wicket win over Queensbury, in the Brooklyn Cricket League (BCL) at Sea View.{{more}}
Shallow âs knock, aided by 37 from former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards middle order batsman Clarence Wyllie, pushed Imperial to 169 for 2 from 24 overs, in response to Queensburyâs 166 all out in 35.5 overs.
For Queensbury, another Vincentian outfit, Andy Douglas top scored with 32, while Bruno Henry added 25 and Joseph Shortte 24.
Orlando Mofford â 3 for 45 and Shaddy Khan â 3 for 34, shared the bowling honours for Imperial.
But it was an up and down weekend for Cavaliers, another Vincentian team.
Facing Pak Stallions at Marine Park C on Saturday, Cavaliers succumbed by 84 runs.
Batting first, Pak Stallion scored 225 for 6. Bowling for Cavaliers Damien Reid had 2 for 41.
Cavaliersâ reply stopped at 141. Andrew Marsh â 33 and Ezekiel Williams â 29, were the principal scorers.
Cavaliersâ fortunes changed for the better on Sunday at Marine Park B, when they defeated Travel Treat.
Taking first strike, Travel Treat was dismissed for 111. Cavaliers replied with 114 for 6. Casper Davis hit 26.
This Sunday at Marine Park C, Imperial face Diplomats while at Sea View, Queensbury take on New York Youths. (RT)
