Sargeant dismantles D’ Graduates in Bequia T-20

A five-wicket haul by fast bowler Garfield Sargeant gave Rainbow Palace Royal Challengers an emphatic 139-run win over D’ Graduates, in one of two matches contested last Sunday in the Hairoun Beer Bequia T-20 competition at the Paget Farm Playing Field.{{more}}

Royal Challengers batted first and posted 208 for 3 from their 20 overs.

Their innings was crafted by the “in demand” Desron Maloney, who hit 51. Neil Baptiste, 50, and Delroy Gregg, 22, added to the competitive total.

Sargeant then went to work in dismantling D’ Graduates as he grabbed 5 for 6 from three overs, one of which was a maiden, to send D’Graduates packing for 69. Delroy Gregg chipped in with 2 for 10, to ensure his team’s triumph.

The other match saw Imperial Stars ousting Port Elizabeth by 11 runs, in a low scoring encounter.

Imperial Stars made 110, then dismissed Port Elizabeth for 99.(RT)
