Under-16 Netball training squad named
National youth Netball selectors have named possible selectees to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Under-16 team, for next yearâs Jean Pierre Caribbean Netball Association Championships.{{more}}
The players, who were selected from the just concluded Vita Malt Inter Secondary Schools Netball Competition, include two players who participated in the 2011 tournament which was staged in St. Kitts. Still in are Zonell James of the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia and the Buccament Bay Secondaryâs Renecia Williams.
The selectees from the Thomas Saunders Secondary are Shafiqua Maloney, Neressa Scott, Nefetari Billingry, Deneisha Gurley and Annel Clarke.
From the St Joseph Convent Marriaqua come Khadijah Williams, Aneika Williams and Moesha Vincent.
Joining Zonell James from the Emmanuel High School Mespo is Brittany Williams.
Coreena Welcome, Danielle Patterson and Tracy-Ann Lowman are those selected from the
Bishopâs College Kingstown, with the Dr J.P Eustace Memorial Secondary represented by Adessa Mcfee.
Two players from the West St George Secondary School, Desiann Laborde and Samisha St Hilliare, have received the selectorsâ nods.
The Bethel High Schoolâs Sherein Samuel, Nerissa Delpesche, Mauricia Cuffy and Geziel Williams-Wilson, have also been included.
One player each from the George Stevens Secondary and the North Union Secondary made the training squad. They are Sophia Byron and Sylvorne Lavia, respectively.
And, the Central Leeward Secondary representatives Felisha Gloster, Janiel Ferdinand and Gaileasha Huggins complete the list of selectees.
St Vincent and the Grenadines will host the tournament which is set for April 2012.
When the tournament, was held earlier this year in St Kitts, the Vincentians came away with a solitary win and that was against Dominica, placing fourth out of the five teams in the main draw.
St Lucia, who copped the title for the first time, is the reigning champion.
