SVGTTA holds Novice Instructors Coaching Clinic
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association (SVGTTA), in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee (NOC), conducted a one-day Table Tennis Novice Instructors Coaching Clinic at the AVESCO Club House in Arnos Vale, on Wednesday, April 6.{{more}}
Ten teachers of Physical Education and Sports attended the day-long session, which looked at the basic laws and theories of the sport.
Participants were engaged in discussions, simulations, looked at video documentary and full practical of some basic strokes. It all ended with an in-house competition which was won by Roger Henry.
The dayâs session was facilitated by three local coaches, ITTF-PPT Level 1 coaches Philcol Jeffers and Kendal Charles and ITTF level 1 coach and national player Carlton Daniel.
This is expected to be a continued effort to enhance the sport here which would lead to the reintroduction of competition in our schools during the coming acdemic year.
