Vincy basketballers, coach off to World Basketball camp
A three-member delegation including Coach Vasha Adams, Rashida Lucas (male player) and Seliscia Toby (female player), left the state yesterday, Monday compliments the Turkish Basketball Federation and FIBA, to represent the SVG Basketball Federation at the World Basketball Camp in Istanbul Turkey.{{more}}
The camp, which coincides with the FIBA World Championship, will run from August 24 to 31, and will see over 300 youth delegates coming together in a multi national, multi cultural activity, where the coaches would gain the opportunity to improve their basketball skills, practise many âteamwork and team playâ activities and games. This opportunity will also afford them the privilege of viewing some of the World Championship games.
The delegation returns home on September 1. The SVG Basketball Federation wishes them all the best and a safe journey.
