SVG plans for OECS swimming championships
The St. Vincent and The Grenadines Amateur Swimming Association is making plans to attend the 20th Annual OECS Swimming Championship scheduled for November 2010 in St. Lucia.{{more}}
Following last yearâs inspiring efforts, the S.V.G.A.S.A has decided to begin planning approximately 3-4 months ahead of the date of the meet. This will allow adequate time for training of swimmers, fund raising, and sponsorship.
Members of the association who are interested in competing at the event are asked to send e-mails with their names and contact details to svgasa@gmail.com. E-mails should be received by Monday, June 21. In addition, persons who are not members, but are interested in swimming should also e-mail the association for information regarding membership registration.
The OECS swim championship will be the first of a number of regional Meets which the new executive will be focusing on, in an effort to provide swimmers with overseas exposure, and opportunities to develop.
