The right-handed Hector struck 139 not out for his team Middlesex in their match played at Sea View. Hector’s innings was decorated with 17 fours and 4 sixes, as he was the mainstay in Middlesex’s total of 236 for 6 off their allotted 40 overs.

Knights, chasing the 237, was well positioned at 194 for 6 from 34 overs.

However, Captain Mark Audain reintroduced himself to the bowling attack and picked up the last four wickets for seven runs in three overs, to send Knights packing for 204.

Knights’s New York region Under-15 batsman Waqas topscored with 49, Qasim, 44, and Nafees, 38.

Fast bowler Dominic Audain picked up 4 for 42, with Mark Audain’s final figures being 4 for 51 and Casper Davis, also a former St. Vincent and the Grenadines Windward Islands fast bowler, 2 for 36.

Following on the heels of their impressive victory, Middlesex was again celebrating and improving their standing in the league when they did the double and bagged another win on Sunday against Panthers.

The Vincentian outfit won the toss and elected to take first strike. Middlesex got to 225 for 8, with Davis topping the batting with 41. Dominic Audain, 40, Hector, 38, and Mark Audain, 23, were the main contributors with the bat.

Shabas, 3 for 42, and Qqayum, 2 for 44. Panthers was dismissed for 145. Iran Khan topscored with 38, supported by Salman Ahmad, 21, and Shabbas, 20. Selwyn ‘Laro’ Caine picked up 5 for 16 and Dominic Audain, 2 for 38, as Middlesex romped to a convincing 80 runs win. The double triumphs pushed Middlesex’s tally of wins to 8.

This weekend, three of the four Vincentian teams in the BCL Cavalier, Middlesex and Stars United will be in action.

Tomorrow, Saturday, at Marine Park B, Stars United plays Carriacou. At Marine Park C, Cavalier meets Wanderers and at Sea View its Punjab against Middlesex.

Sunday it’s another all Vincy clash at Marine Park A when Stars United and Middlesex meet, and at Sea View St. Lucia and Cavalier face off.

The other Vincentian outfit in the BCL is Imperial(RT)
