Daneya – a smash in St. Maarten with Karib Cable

Daneya Charles, the Karib Cable sponsored junior tennis player, recently returned from the ITF St. Maarten Tournament. She performed creditably, having lost to Jenai Charles in the Quarter Finals of the girls 14 & under category.{{more}} She then teamed up with Melena Lopez (Barbados) and defeated Chassidy King and Zhane Potter (Antigua) to win the Girls 14 & under doubles title. To date, Daneya is now ranked #5 in singles in COTEC region (The Highest Ranking attained by any Female tennis player from St. Vincent).

Daneya’s tennis summer continues with Karib Cable, as she soon leaves for St. Lucia to participate in the Coco-Cola International Junior Tennis tournament at the beginning of August. Karib Cable aids Daneya in affording the opportunity to play in most regional tournaments, with a sponsorship of $1,500 for each trip outside St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
