Bobb weaves Saints

St. Vincent and the Grenadines leg spinner Alston Bobb put in a good, all-round performance in the usual lone RBTT Premier Division match last weekend at the Sion Hill Playing Field, to push Victors One to an innings and 99 run win over Eat Rite Saints.{{more}}

Bobb took 6 for 28, as Saints was dismissed for 89 in its first innings. Only Roger Gibson’s 33, and Kenroy Peters’ 22 showed any resistance. St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards Under-19 captain Keiron Cottoy assisted Bobb with 2 for 34.

In reply, Victors One posted 280 for 5 declared, with Bobb making 101 not out. Seon Sween, 41, Donson Andrews, 37, and Atticus Browne, 33. Walford Ambris took 3 for 67, bowling for Saints.

It was all Bobb as he bagged 5 for 18, and Cottoy, 3 for 19, as Saints was bundled out for 92. Peters topscored with 24.

Also gaining an innings triumph was Unique Warriors over PKF Saints, in one of three Bottlers First Division matches.

Saints made 121, with Joe Horne, 29. Rodney Lawrence, 4 for 26, and Jenry Ollivierre, 2 for 23. Unique Warriors replied with 269 for 8 declared. Edson Gordon, 88, Christopher Campbell, 55, Desron Lavia, 36. Darry Roberts took 3 for 46, Tarik Mc Neil, 2 for 37. Batting a second time, Saints was dismissed for 147. Kevin Jackson, 39, and Roger Davis, 24. Lawrence, 3 for 22, Ollivierre, 2 for 29, and Lavia, 2 for 32, bowling for Unique Warriors .

C and J Construction ASCO beat Radcliffe Two by eight wickets. Radcliffe Two posted 121. Marcus Castello, 23. Kimani Thomas, 3 for 13, Everad Durrant, 3 for 20. ASCO replied with 248 in their first innings, with Chris King hitting 53 and Nicos Davis, 43. Jabari Johnson snared 5 for 85 and Castello, 2 for 41. Radcliffe Two fared marginally better batting a second time. Verbert King was the topscorer with 41, and Michael St. Hillaire, 33. Kentish Phillips was ASCO’s best bowler, with 4 for 82. ASCO reached 71 for 2 to gain maximum points.

And, Digicel Neil Williams Academy took first innings from Belmont. Taking first strike, Belmont made 212. Imran Samuel scored 65, Augustus Mofford, 35. Mikhail Weekes had figures of 4 for 29 and Zane Edwards, 2 for 34. The Academy hit 252, with Weekes making 58, Edwards, 39, and Andy Baptiste and Jeron John, 28. Adolphus Campbell, 5 for 108, and Jerome Samuel, 2 for 52. When the match was called off, Belmont was 217 for 4, with Imran Samuel continuing his rich form with the bat, struck 89 and Orlando Mofford, 72. (RT)
