Defending Champions maintain unbeaten run

Defending female champions of the C. O. Williams ASCO Softball Cricket Competition, United Survivors, continued their unbeaten run last weekend.{{more}}

United Survivors beat Ju-c Floranium Strikers by 7 wickets.

Super Strikers made 81 for 5 in 20 overs. Francelia Mascoll, 21, and Jacqueline Davis, 15, were the main contributors. Anesha Williams captured 2 for 12, bowling for the defending champion.

United Survivors responded with 82 for 3 in 15 overs. Samantha Lynch made 23 not out.

In another female fixture, Zees & Sons ASCO whipped RSVG Police by 9 wickets.

RSVG Police were dismissed for a paltry 24 in 6.2 overs. Hazel Ann Foster picked up 2 for 4, Veta Franklyn, 2 for 5, and Michelle Horne, 2 for 14.

Zees & Sons ASCO made 25 for 1 in 3.1 overs. Foster made 17 not out.

In the Male Division, Survivors beat Kayous by 9 wickets.

Kayous stumbled to 31 runs in 8.5 overs, Benjamin Arridon took 4 for 14.

Survivors took 4.1 overs, reached 33 for 1, Fitzroy Shallow made 22 not out.

Another five matches are slated for this the Easter weekend at the Dauphine Playing Field, all in the male division.

On Saturday, Shot Callers play Progressive Youths from 1:pm in the male division, to be followed by Survivors meeting ASCO One from 3, also in that division.

On Sunday, ASCO 2 and 2 Simple Boys meet from 9:30, then Survivors faces Kayous from 1:00 pm. Shot Callers get back in action from 3:15 versus CO Williams Cow Boys. (RT)
