Craiglee Sam continues to rise

Craiglee Sam was the high man for Rising Stars as he sank 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as his team triumphed 71-42 over East Blazers in the Bequia competition. Keithroy Lavia scored 8 for East Blazers in the First Division encounter.{{more}}

Also last weekend, there were two First Division fixtures. Gladiartorz defeated Warriaz 49-45. Cosmos Hackshaw led Gladiatorz’s scoring with 18 points and added 12 rebounds. Clemenson Williams topscored with 14 pints for Warriaz.

Also Young Duke won from Liberty 61-38. Damien Lewis hit 18 points for Duke to be the leading scorer, while Khandi Joseph had 14 for Liberty.

In Under -16 action, Eagles rose above Young Wizards 29-26. John Miller was Eagles’ leading scorer with 21 points. Asburn Phillips sank 8 points for the losers.

And Hornets edged out Diamondz 42-41. Lindon Simmons had 16 pints and 15 rebounds for Hornets. Daria Gordon and Shantell Joseph both had 16 points to be joint leading scorers for Diamondz.
