SVGTA to host ITF 14, under championship
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association is privileged to have been chosen to host the International Tennis Federation (ITF) 14 & under Caribbean Development Championship 2007, August 13-18.{{more}}
Over sixty (60) of the brightest, upcoming tennis stars from fifteen (15) regional countries, including St Vincent and the Grenadines will participate in what promises to be an exciting, highly competitive, weeklong tournament.
The participating countries are: Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Dominica, Guyana, Grenada, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, Suriname, Dutch Antilles, St Kitts & Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago, St Lucia and host St Vincent and the Grenadines.
St Vincent and the Grenadinesâ team will be led by Caribbean top 20 ranked boysâ under 14, Fabrice George, who will be seeking to conclude his last year in the under 14s in style. The rest of team includes (boys) Kevin Huggins, Daryl Macleish, Shane Huggins, and (girls) Halima Michael and Daneya Charles.
The local team is coached by Onike Spann.
