Digicel sponsors Lollipop Cricket team

Telecommunications provider Digicel has outfitted the Digicel Lollipop Cricket team from the Sandy Bay community with new uniforms.

This comes as the competition bowled off on Sunday August 5 at the Pamenos Ballantyne playing field.{{more}} Secretary of the cricket team, Shaldeen Baptiste received the uniforms on behalf of her team and said she was grateful for the sponsorship.

Ballantyne said that being involved in sports helps to keep the young people in her community out of mischief and she was happy that Digicel gave support to a positive activity such as cricket.

Digicel Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche said that it was good to see a sports team interested in the well being of their community and encouraged the team to do their best.
