Medford kicks his way to silver

Displaying dexterity, good balance and adept skills, Jason Medford of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Shotokan Karate Club, secured a silver medal, at the Seventh International Shotokan Karate Federation Caribbean Championship held in Trinidad and Tobago November 24-26.

Medford, the lone representative in competition copped his medal in the junior male individual Kumite.{{more}}

The packed weekend of events also included a grading exercise and again it was straight A passes for Medford, and sisters Caletra and Cadella Ferdinand.

The other members of the club, who journeyed to the twin island republic, were Sensei Allan Burke, Claude Bascombe Jr, Don Juan Glasgow and Alana Byam and were the representatives at the symposium, which was also held at the Jean Pierre Complex.
