Bequia ballers to tour St. Maarten

The Bequia ALL-Stars Basketball Club travels to Phillipsburg, St. Maarten to play four games, on the invitation of President of St. Maarten Basketball Association, Emmanuel York, and President of the Netherlands Antilles, Hesley Heerenveen. The team departs on Wednesday May 3rd with an entourage of 27, including players, coaches, manager, referee and team supporters.{{more}}

Head Coach of the Bequia All-Stars is SVG Coaches Association president, Fitzgerald “Junior” Sutton, and the manager and chaperone is Ms. Sabrina Mitchell, also secretary of the National Federation and Secretary General of the Caribbean Confederation. The All-Stars makes a regional tour every year, having been to Trinidad in 2005, Antigua in 2004, Barbados in 2003 and Grenada in 2002. The group will be staying at the Midtown Hotel in Phillipsburg. The All-Stars return to the state on Monday May 8.
