24 teams for Coca-Cola Secondary Schools

The countdown to the Coca-Cola Inter-Secondary School Football competition is on. The final will be November 4.

Twenty-four teams in four groups are lined up for the titles. Competitions will be in the Under-16 category introduced this year, and Under-20. Intermediate High School is the defending Under-20 champion. {{more}}

Coca-Cola’s Brand Manager Gary Davis handed over sponsorship cheque for this season at a ceremony last Tuesday.

Coordinator of Sports in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Nelson Hillocks, and Elford Charles, Supervisor received the money.

Hillocks sees the sponsorship as important in filling the gap between Under-13 Primary School football competition and the Under-20 Secondary Football competition.

The Under 16 Group shows: St. Clair Dacon Secondary, Georgetown Multi-Purpose Centre, Georgetown Secondary, North Windward Secondary, Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia, St. Joseph Convent Marriaqua in Group A, Bishops College Kingstown, Emmanuel High School Kingstown, Intermediate High School, St. Martin Secondary School, Thomas Saunders Secondary, West St. George Secondary, in Group B, Bequia Community High, Bequia Seventh Day Adventist, Campden Park Secondary, Campden Park Multi-Purpose, Kingstown Multi-Purpose, St. Vincent Grammar School, in Group C, and Barrouallie Multi-Purpose Centre, Barrouallie Secondary, Buccament Bay Secondary, Petit Bordel Secondary, and Troumaca Ontario Secondary in Group D.
