Vincy Heat ranked 137 on FIFA list

St. Vincent and the Grenadines, dubbed “Vincy Heat” the name affectionately given to the football squad, has improved its rankings on the FIFA list. December 4, St. Vincent and the Grenadines were 137, a climb of nine spots from the previous analysis.{{more}}

The top Caribbean team is Jamaica, who moved up to 49, four places from their previous position despite failing to qualify for the final stage of the CONCAF Zone for Germany. Second on the Caribbean list is Trinidad and Tobago who have progressed to the CONCACAF final. They climbed one spot to 63.

Cuba moved five places to 76. The other Caribbean team below the 100 mark is Haiti at 95, with an improvement of three spots.

St. Lucia showed remarkable improvement jumping eight places to 114th.

Barbados, which has already qualified for the Caribbean Football Union Digicel Cup Final in Barbados February 20 to 24, dropped two places to 121.

Grenada, eclipsed by “Vincy Heat” for a place in the Third Round of CFU Digicel Caribbean Cup moved up one spot to 144.

Suriname was fixed at 149, with Antigua Barbuda, two places up to 153. Bermuda also took a climb by two spots to 157. Netherlands Antilles progressed two spots to 163.

But perhaps the most sensational leap was British Virgin Islands. They were plummeted by their performance in Group E of the CFU Digicel Caribbean Cup where they advanced to the Second Round. BVI jumped to 165, up ten spots.

They joined Dominica at 165 who moved up one spot.

Dominican Republic stayed at 170, but Cayman Islands showed a giant leap by seven to 176.

Belize dropped to 181, Guyana 182, Bahamas 192, and the US Virgin Islands moved three places to 196. Anguilla stabled at 197, while Aruba dropped two spots to 198. Montserrat 202, and Turks and Caicos 203 complete the Caribbean chart.
