Quietly, she slipped away

Our mother, friend, teacher, mentor, editor emeritus; the mother of Searchlight, Norma Keizer, slipped quietly away from us at 2:50 am on Tuesday.{{more}}

She died at the age of 78 years at her home at New Montrose. She had been battling lung cancer since September 2012; the latest in a series of health challenges.

Mourning her loss are her daughters Andrea Bowman, Clare Keizer and Dr Simone Keizer-Beache; grandchildren Shaka, Sovann and Vincent; sisters Shirley Ince and Peggy Ince-Hull; sons-in-law Lennox Bowman and Glen Beache; nieces Monique and Nadine Hull, nephew Dane Hull and a host of other relatives, close friends, colleagues and former students.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving for the life of Norma Keizer nee Ince will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the St George’s Cathedral in Kingstown, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetery.
