Rising Stars set for 2013 Vinlec NLSA T-20 cricket competition

The Rising Stars cricket team of Rose Hall, apart from preparing on the field for the 2013 Vinlec North Leeward T-20 cricket competition, have been given a head start from Robertson Surveying Services Ltd.{{more}}

The team, to be known as Robertson’s Surveying Rose Hall, were recently presented with a cheque of EC$1,000, to assist with their participation in the tournament, which commences on Sunday, June 16 at the Petit Bordel Playing Field. The sponsorship also includes uniforms and registration.

In making the presentation on behalf of his company, Mc Arthur Robertson expressed his delight in being able to give back to community of Rose Hall. He also contributed to the annual culture fest put on by the Rose Hall Cultural Development Organization.

For the last four years, Robertson Surveying Services Ltd has been sponsoring the Belmont United cricket team in the National Lotteries Authority first division of the national cricket programme.

“We like to see when young people are doing things to uplift the community…. I like to see young people doing something meaningful with their life, despite your challenges in life – you have to elevate yourself and strive to be the best”.

In accepting the cheque from Robertson, team manager Kenville Horne said “When a company can take their hard earned cash and donate some of it to youth development, one much appreciates the value of that contribution”.(RT)
