Carnival spirit alive at Courts Super Store

Still one week away from their annual Carnival promotion, furniture and appliance store Courts is already in the Carnival spirit.{{more}}

This week, Courts Marketing Executive, Alexis John, made the first of two presentations to a rural carnival organization.

He also presented a gift to newly crowned Miss SVG Aphesha Matthews.

On Wednesday, Matthews was presented with a Precision 19 inch LCD television.

In making the presentation, John congratulated Matthews for taking the crown at Saturday’s pageant and wished her the best in future endeavors.

When asked if the company may in the future sponsor a contestant in the Miss SVG pageant, John said that it is something that could be considered, but for now Courts is happy to improve the winners’ viewing experience with the presentation of the television sets.

A presentation was also made to Secretary of the South Leeward Carnival Committee, Roxanne Campbell, who received prizes for the winners of tomorrow’s Miss South Leeward pageant, which takes place at the D’Zia Sports Club.

Winner of the pageant will receive one Cuisinart blender and a Con Air curling iron, with the first Runner Up getting one Oster juicer and the Second Runner Up getting a Black and Decker blender, all compliments Courts.

The company is also expected to make presentations to the Marriaqua Carnival Committee later in the season.

The Courts Carnival Promotion is expected to kick off next week, with one of this country’s top artistes at the helm.

Over the years, the promotion has had leading soca artistes, including Icon and Zolah, as its spokespersons. (JJ)
